In 1999, Dorothy J. Gaiter and John Brecher, wine columnists for The Wall Street Journal, invented Open That Bottle Night, in recognition that almost everyone has a bottle that they’ve been saving for a special occasion, an occasion that never arrives. Since 1999, the last Saturday in February has been the date for friends to gather, to enjoy each other’s company, tell their story of that Bottle and finally Open That Bottle.
This year’s Open That Bottle Night is Saturday, February 27th. Maybe you’ve never celebrated this particular holiday, maybe you have That Bottle, maybe you don’t, but we have all been longing for something to celebrate, so since it’s mostly about Telling the Story, Heirloom wants you to celebrate OTBN 2021 and we want to help. If you have that bottle and want to celebrate OTBN with a loved one or with your pod, may we suggest that you order your dinner from Heirloom? There is something on our winter menu that will complement every special wine. If you don’t have That Bottle, why don’t you join us for dinner on one of our covered patios? Heirloom has a number of bottles that we’ve been saving for a special occasion that we’re offering for Open That Bottle Night only at the very special price of $30 per bottle, dine in or take out.
